The Blog
“Revealed” is a blog about scientific and medical visualization. From January to October 2008, the blog focused on the general sense of scientific and medical visualization. Since January 2009, the focus shifted to include specific experiences of the author as an illustrator.

The Author
Janet Chao received her B.S. in bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, then went on to the University of California at Santa Cruz for a certificate degree in science illustration. She is currently freelancing and finishing up a M.S. in biomedical visualization at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
